RollaChair - The Hygienic,
Cost Saving Hospital Wheelchair

ParAid RollaChair, a new generation of hospital patient transporter has been launched to help stamp out MRSA, save the health service large sums of money and improve patient care.

RollaChair has ABS moulded modular components on an L shaped metal chassis. Unlike traditional wheelchairs, it has no fabric or seams to harbour germs and can easily and effectively be cleaned by pressure washing or wiped down with antiseptic.

Whereas missing wheelchairs cost hospitals thousands of pounds every year, RollaChair’s bulky frame and small roller wheels make it ideal to operate within hospitals, and harder to steal.

Designed in consultation with health professionals and patients, RollaChair has many features to make life easier; its nesting design - similar to a shopping trolley - allows it to be stored neatly, taking up little space in wards and lobbies; an IV support pole as a fixed component; a holder for patient notes; armrests that rotate upwards to allow patients to access and exit from either side.

Forward thinking hospitals can also use the back panel of the chair to generate revenue as advertising space.
